De redenering die zij op internet maakte kon ik niet volledig volgen, waardoor ik kort contact heb gehad met hun klantenservice. Dit was hun antwoord:

Folexen binds DHT, so it's true that the DHT is no longer active, but has
still been created by the 5AR enzymes. We think that the lack of side
effects is due to the way that Folexen still allows the endocrine system to
use up the 'extra' testosterone, so hormonal feedback is not activated.
Whereas with Finasteride, there is sometimes a triggering of estradiol
production due to the testosterone that was not converted to DHT.
Also, there is evidence that some men on a high-soy traditional Asian diet
produce S-equol naturally, but they do not have a higher incidence of sexual
issues or side effects like those seen with Finasteride.

Persoonlijk vind ik het niet een heel sterk antwoord; met name hun laatste alinea. "Omdat mannen die veel voedsel eten dat s-equol produceert en geen bijwerkingen geeft, geeft ons middel ook geen bijwerkingen". Regelrechte drog-redenering als je het mij vraagt.
In ieder geval, Folexen is er sinds gisteren mee gestopt.

Dus ze stoppen wegens economische redenen?? Je hebt dus een middel dat effectief is, en geen bijwerkingen geef. Een soort heilige graal in haaruitval land. En dan stop je na jarenlang onderzoek en ontwikkelen met je middel???
Ik vind het allemaal erg dubieus, maar ik laat ieder zijn eigen mening hierover hebben.
